PRINCE'S TRUST SUCCESS STORY: MEGAN JONES

Updated: Jan 31

Founder, Megan Jones, stood behind the till within a Curated Makers store.

Megan Jones found out about The Prince’s Trust back in 2018 and went on to complete their Enterprise programme to find out more about self-employment and was introduced to her business mentor, Dave. The Prince's Trust was the springboard for taking Curated Makers from an idea into a functioning reality with the skills, knowledge and guidance provided by the Trust.

Now an ambassador for the charity, Megan looks back at her time with the Prince's Trust and shares how the programme excelled her small business journey. She explains how it gave her the confidence to chase her dreams as a young female entrepreneur and offers her best tips for those who wish to follow the same path.

After the learning section, I went on to launch my business with a business mentor, Dave. I've worked with Dave for years since and his support, guidance, and knowledge has been invaluable. As a solo founder, I found having someone to listen, share ideas with, and learn from – with his previous experience – hugely valuable and I'd now like to call us friends. We’re still very much in contact today.
